Club History
The North Suburban Stamp Club began in 1987 with four founding members that grew in size over the the years reaching 50 members in the 90's and currently there are a dozen members.
The club began meeting in the local Elks club and briefly met in the seniors club before settling in its curren location in the Cimmaron Village's Friendship Hall.
In 1989 the club took a brief hiatus due to movement of the members to other locals. The club was revived in 1998 and has maintained a continuous membership of varying size.
Over the years of its existence the club has acquired several donated collections as well as purchased some additional stamp inventory which is then made available to club members at a small fraction of catalogue value.
This enables the club togive a gift of 50 stamps to any visitor who attends a meeting as well as an additional 50 stamps of their choice upon becoming a member.
Membership is only $12 per year.
We invite all types of collectors to visit us. Whether you are a life time collector as some of us are or a beginner looking to start an inexpensive and unique hobby you will fit right in. The unique thing about stamp collecting is that it can vary to the collectors desires. Our club gives members opportunities to obtain more stamps then can be obtained thru the mail. Some of the members slaso have their own stamps available to members at low prices.
We invite anyone reading this web page to come on down and check out our next meeting.
